GPS Healthcare and Solihull Healthcare Partnership are pleased to announce the launch of a brand new patient care facility called the South Solihull Health Hub. Working in collaboration with the Birmingham and Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group, we have worked together to create a new facility to provide specialised, face-to-face care for the community of south Solihull at the site of Blossomfield Surgery.

The first priority of the South Solihull Health Hub is to face the current challenges posed by COVID-19. South Solihull Health Hub will be a modified facility for patients in the south Solihull area who need to be seen by a healthcare professional during the COVID-19 crisis and where their condition sits outside the scope of our existing practices. We are really pleased to be working across our Primary Care Network boundaries with our colleagues across Solihull to deliver this vital health provision.

Patients who are experiencing certain symptoms, such as breathing difficulties/and or fever, or who are self-isolating because a member of their household has Covid-19 symptoms, will be called to the South Solihull Health Hub for a face-to-face appointment if it is deemed necessary and safe following a telephone assessment with a GP.

The hub will only be accessible via appointment and will only treat patients who have been directed there by their GP. Details for visiting the South Solihull Health Hub will be sent to patients once their appointment has been confirmed.

The opening of the new site will enable patients without Covid-19 symptoms to see their healthcare professionals safely at other surgeries in the community, if invited for an appointment after speaking to a healthcare professional on the phone.
