The surgery is open from 8.30 am to 6.30 pm. We monitor the availability of appointments and try to alter surgeries to suit demand.
The doctors are available for consultations between 8.30 am and 12.00 pm, and 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday. There are also lunchtime surgeries on some days. Not all the doctors work for the whole of the times specified, and some doctors are part-time.
We will try to add extra appointments or surgery sessions at busy times.
As a part of the Solihull Healthcare Partnership we provide emergency service in the evenings and at weekends. The service operates each Monday to Friday from 6.30 pm to 8.00 am and at weekends. This service is strictly for urgent medical problems which cannot wait until the surgery is open again. Between 6.30 pm and midnight, the doctors on call are all GPs who work in Solihull or Birmingham. After midnight the service is manned by a professional locum company called Badger.
If you require this service ring the surgery in the normal way and the out-of-hours telephone number will be given to you via the answer phone. You may be asked to travel to the Walk in Centre which is located within Solihull Hospital if that seems appropriate. NHS Direct is available on 111 for 24 hour service.
(The out-of-hours telephone number is 0300 555 0303 on occasional training afternoons. A message will be on our answerphone but this is if you don't catch the number when you ring.)
